Message Home and Runaway Helpline Volunteer

Missing People provides support for missing children, vulnerable adults and families left in limbo. We currently require volunteers to answer calls on our national helplines and respond to emails and SMS from adults and young people who are missing or have runaway, giving support and advice. We accept applications on an ongoing basis, but only run training courses several times a year.

The charity has thousands of paper case files of missing people, and we need a volunteer to help us transfer these to our database, scan and then archive them. This is to ensure consistency of information and accuracy of our statistics, inline with our data protection guidelines.

Search and Support Volunteer

We currently require volunteers to answer calls on our national helpline and respond to emails from families, police, social services, other organisations, giving support and advice. You would also be following guidelines to conduct searches for missing people and organise publicity.

Volunteer Support Assistant

We are looking for a volunteer to support our Services Volunteer Leader with the volunteering programme at Missing People. The perfect person will have great organisational and administration skills! A minimum shift of four hours every week would be preferred but times are flexible and may include some occasional evenings and weekends.
