“I would tell anyone thinking about volunteering for Missing People that it is the most rewarding thing I have ever done. You really feel like you are making a difference. The training, support and  encouragement the charity offers all their volunteers is brilliant. I cannot speak highly enough about this amazing charity!”

Help us search for missing children and vulnerable adults.

Micro Volunteering

Want to volunteer but can't make a regular commitment? Or can't find a volunteering opportunity with us in your local area? Micro Volunteering could be perfect for you.

You choose how much time you want to give, whether it's a few minutes or a few hours. Here's how:

2 Minutes

Share our Appeals

Every day, we post online appeals of missing adults and children across the country. The more these are shared, the more likely that person is to see their poster and know they can contact us for help. Like our Facebook page and share our online appeals or follow us on Twitter and retweet our online appeals.

Sign up to Child Rescue Alert

A Child Rescue Alert (CRA) is activated when a child is known to have been abducted or their life is believed to be at immediate risk. A CRA sends a photo of the missing child to the phones of everyone registered within a certain geographical area. This increases the chances of a sighting of that missing child. Every second counts and your support is vital. Click here to register and forward it on to your friends and family.

Give as you Live

When you register with Give as you Live and make purchases online from selected retailers, they'll make a donation to Missing People. It doesn't cost you a penny. Clever, right? Click here to read more and sign up.

People's Postcode Lottery

People's Postcode Lottery (PPL) is a charity lottery in Great Britain. You play with your postcode to win cash prizes whilst raising money for charities and good causes. For every £2 you spend with People's Postcode Lottery, 30% goes directly to charities like Missing People. And the result? Over the years, PPL players combined have raised a whopping £4 million for Missing People. For more information, click here.

Hold a Child Rescue Alert (CRA) Day

A Child Rescue Alert (CRA) is activated when a child is known to have been abducted or their life is believed to be at immediate risk. A CRA sends a photo of the missing child to the phones of everyone registered within a certain geographical area. This increases the chances of a sighting of that missing child. Having as many people as possible registered is vital and you can help with this by holding a CRA Day at your work, local gym, shopping centre etc. Click here to find out more.

Get Work Involved

There's so many ways to get your work involved with raising awareness and vital funds for Missing People. Organise a quiz, auction, raffle, dress-down day (or dress up day!) and many more, all in aid of Missing People. For lots more ideas, help and resources, please get in touch with our Community Fundraising Coordinator, Nathan Ramsay, at This email address is being protected from spambots. All you need to take part is a twitter account and, on the day, be on the lookout for the hashtags #FindEveryChild and #TeamBigTweet and retweet as many appeals as you can.
