Mariam has been missing from Newcastle-upon-Tyne since 9 March 2006 after failing to return from a visit to friends in Glasgow. Although it is thought she may have headed to London, Mariam has not been seen or heard from since.
There is great concern for Mariam due to her age and she is urged to get in touch with someone and let them know that she is OK. Mariam can call the Runaway Helpline on Freefone 0808 800 7070 where she can get confidential help and support.
Mariam is originally from Somalia is 5ft 3in tall with brown eyes and long black hair.
