BDP - the UK’s leading interdisciplinary design collective – have today launched “Cycle for Jo”, a fundraising challenge in honour of the landscape architect from their Bristol studio, Jo Yeates, who went missing and was tragically found dead on Christmas Day.

Missing People is delighted to announce that Chris Rollings will become the charity’s first Vice-Chair of Trustees.

The new series of BBC1’s Missing programme is to return every morning from Monday 9 to Friday 13 May at 9.15am, hosted by BBC Breakfast’s Louise Minchin.

On Wednesday, April 19, Health Minister Paul Burstow visited the charity to celebrate the launch of the Reconnect Network - a new information-sharing initiative to find vulnerable missing people. The event marked the publication of a short Reconnect Network Summary Report of the pilot.

More than 350,000 reports of missing people are made in the UK every year. The charity has launched a new blog - The Missing Blog - to give a voice to all those involved and affected by this issue.

On Saturday, April 2, 2011, Missing People hosted the second annual ‘Miles for Missing People’ – a 10k running event to bring together families of the missing in Regent’s Park, London. More than 700 runners participated in the 6.2 mile run, and helped to raise £30,000 for the charity.

On 10 March, Missing People’s Chief Executive Martin Houghton-Brown will talk at the “Missing from Care” experts conference in Budapest, Hungary.

Missing People is delighted that Patricia Ferguson MSP has tabled a Scottish Parliamentary Motion in support of the Missing Rights campaign.
