Thank you to the Volunteers at Missing People

We are in the midst of Volunteers’ Week in the UK, and Missing People would like to say a huge thank you to the 70 heroes who volunteer their time, working around the clock, to offer a lifeline to the 200,000 people who run away or go missing each year. Our volunteers collectively give us 600 hours a month, along with their valuable expertise and energy.

Our fantastic team agree that the experience has impacted positively on their lives with one current volunteer describing their experience as ‘so much more than I could ever hope to give’, and another saying, “It’s great to feel you’ve helped people who really need it.”

Chloë Swinton, Services Volunteer Leader at Missing People, said: “We are caring, highly skilled staff and volunteers working around the clock alongside our partners across the UK.

“Sadly one in four desperate calls for help cannot currently be answered. By volunteering you can help us provide a lifeline to every single caller.”
