How long does it take to find missing people? How long does it take to find missing people?Most missing people are found safe and well within 72 hours. Sadly, some are not, and we will not stop searching until a person is found or their family or police have asked us to do so. Do you charge for your services?No. We are a lifeline when someone disappears and work hard to ensure that no young run away, missing adult of families left behind has to pay to use our services. Are you part of the police?Missing People is an independent charity funded by donations. We work in collaboration with a range of partners across the UK, including local police forces, the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO) and the Association of Chief Police Officers in Scotland (ACPOS). The charity’s income is sourced from individual donations, partnerships, trusts and very limited government funding. The charity recognises that we are currently unable to meet demand for our services on an income of £1.9million per annum and has agreed a bold ambition to grow to £3million.
