Everyone who works and volunteers at Missing People strives to make a valuable difference to our society. We want to tell you a bit about these special people…
Ben
Ben is a 29 yr old volunteer who is trained to support missing people and their families.
“In my full time job, I spend endless hours on an aeroplane, but in my spare time, I donate time to find missing people.
“As a volunteer I support lots of different people each time I’m on a shift. By nature each scenario is unique and the support we provide is tailored to their needs.
“I also help the search for missing people who are vulnerable by creating publicity. This may involve making and distributing ‘missing posters’ and posting appeals on this website.
“I have learned lots of new practical skills and also to be patient and not make assumptions when dealing with different people from many walks of life . Everyone who makes contact needs our help and that is what important.”
