Missing People on TV

Missing People's acting Director of Services, Jo YouleMissing People is pleased to announce that the charity is involved with a range of ground-breaking TV programmes set to hit the screens in August.

On Monday 03 August, Channel Five begins its ‘Missing Month’, with the premier of a focused on the issue issue of missing. The series airs daily at 5pm and 7pm and will feature a mix of content provided by Missing People, including re-enactments of missing persons cases as well as photo appeals and interviews with charity spokespeople and families of missing loved ones. The programme will run for the entire month of August.

Alison Cowan, Director of Fundraising and Marketing at Missing People said, “The charity works to support, find and safeguard all those affected by the issue of missing. We are delighted that Five News have thrown their support behind this important issue. Our hope is that the awareness raised by the Missing Month will help us to reunite some of the families who are living in limbo after the disappearance of a loved one, and make the public aware of the charity’s need for funds.

Also premiering this month is ‘Missing Children: Lorraine Kelly Investigates’ from Sky Real Lives. This five part series hosted by charity Vice Patron, Lorraine Kelly airs at 10pm every Wednesday throughout August. The programme will feature interviews with families of missing children, as well as an interview with Missing People Acting Director of Services and spokesperson, Jo Youle.
