Runaway Helpline SMS Text Service Troubleshooting and Tips
- Please note that whilst we have tried to ensure that our system accepts and can read all standard characters and text that you may use, there are some inconsistencies amongst different mobile phone providers and also between different phones. To help your message reach us intact, we suggest, where possible, that you use letters rather than symbols.
- Some mobile phones will not let you directly respond to a Runaway Helpline text. If you receive an error message when trying to reply to Runaway Helpline, please contact us by starting a new text to 80234.
- When you receive a response to a text to Runaway Helpline, it will show up on your phone as 80234. Please remember if you don’t want anyone else to know you are in contact with us you may want to save our number in your phone using an abbreviation rather than the 80234 or the full name of the service.
Texts to Runaway Helpline are free from the following providers and you are able to text with no credit:
- Vodafone
- O2
- Three
