We have some exciting news to share!
Please make a note in your diaries to tune in to our Radio 4 appeal slot this Christmas on Sunday 18th December at 7.54am and again at 9.25pm.
We are thrilled to have this opportunity to share more about the charity and how funds raised can make a genuine difference to the people we support through our helplines and other services.
We want to see the number of people going missing in the UK go down and help people find support before the point of crisis.
We are launching a preventative campaign to encourage people to reach out to us before they go missing. The campaign calls out to people directly asserting, ‘If you ever feel like disappearing, find us first.’
The campaign was designed by The Raised Eyebrow Society and with the support of JCDecaux, a long-time partner of Missing People.
In September, in connection with Freshers Week, we launched a campaign to help young people be safe and prevent them from going missing on a night out.
Unfortunately, this instance of going missing on a night out is not uncommon so we’ve shared some tips and advice to prevent this.
Over 170,000 people are reported missing every year in the UK. We are encouraging people to sign up to be a Digital Search Hero and help bring missing people home.
This new initiative sends a weekly email with recent missing appeals straight to your inbox to make joining the search easy. Just one share or one sighting could make a huge difference.
