Festive Tech Calendar have announced that Missing People are their chosen charity for 2022 Christmas! We are delighted to team up with some brilliant masterminds in the field of Tech! Their aim is to raise £5000 over December in aid of Missing People. Their prerogative is that every day there is a clip released onto their YouTube Channel from a new person about a new idea/theme. Although some tend to be tech orientated, others can be very different.
This year, it is our privilege to be one of the first videos out. Let’s mark 01/12/2022 in our diaries so that we can see Missing Peoples very own Paul and Amy shine in a video discussing….
Active Listening Skills
They discuss how to actively listen, support colleagues and friends during difficult times and how to keep yourself safe whilst doing so.
They both have decades of experience supporting vulnerable people in front-line services. How to actively listen is a key part of gaining trust and ensuring someone feels heard often during difficult times. The video they have put together for Tech Calendar 2022 gives you some tips of how to do this, including via text where often things can get misunderstood. And how to keep yourself safe while opening those spaces for others.
Once again, a HUGE thank you to the Tech Calendar group for thinking of us and our mission in their chosen charity this year. It highlights how incredibly important our vision is that every missing child, adult and family left behind finds help, hope and a safe way to reconnect.
