X-Factor finalists G4 have announced that they will support Missing People’s annual Home for Christmas Appeal this year.
The recently reunited 4-piece vocal group will release a Christmas-themed album this festive season, which they will perform on an 8-date Cathedral Tour – “G4 Christmas – by Candlelight” - up and down the UK. The band’s fourth album, featuring timeless Christmas classics, will be recorded in a historic London church whose acoustics will showcase the group’s vocal talents.
G4 have also launched a pledge campaign via PledgeMusic, with a percentage of all pledges being donated to the charity’s Home for Christmas Campaign. Fans will also be given the opportunity to make a donation to Missing People’s Home for Christmas Appeal when they purchase their tickets and spread awareness of the charity and its cause.
Jo Youle, Missing People Chief Executive, says “We’re thrilled to have been chosen by the wonderful G4 boys as their charity partner for the Christmas Album and Tour. Not only will their powerful and inspirational voices uplift and inspire us, they are also supporting our Home for Christmas Appeal which will help us to offer a lifeline to missing people and their families at what can be an incredibly lonely and heart-breaking time of year.”
Dates and locations for the tour will be announced soon. Follow the #G4Christmas hashtag on Twitter for the latest news. You can follow the band @G4Official and keep up to date at www.g4official.com. To make a pledge visit www.pledgemusic.com/projects/g4christmas
