Employees from across the London and Midlands region of Missing People corporate partner Barclays will be taking part in a brilliant new fundraising event - Barclays 321 Challenge - in aid of Missing People on Thursday 3 September.
An intrepid team will complete a gruelling 36 mile route – 26 miles running, 10 miles cycling – taking in 28 branches across London. They are collecting sponsorship in aid of both charities.
Meanwhile, a second team will complete the same route by public transport (buses, tubes and trains). Both teams have to visit each branch and the first team to reach the last one will be the Barclays 321 Challenge winners!
Staff based in branches across the region will be getting involved too, holding cake sales, dress down days and static cycle challenges to raise funds throughout the day. Collectively Barclays aim to raise £50,000 for good causes from the event.
Joss Mooney, Corporate Partnerships Manager said, “ We are delighted to have the support of the Barclays London and Midlands region, and to be working together in a wonderful partnership that continues to grow every year. This is a really imaginative and exciting new event that will no doubt be lots of fun for all involved. Most importantly, the awareness and funds raised for Missing People on the day will have a huge and lasting impact on our work to support vulnerable missing people and their families.”
