Leading Out of Home media owner, Admedia, today announced the winners for June’s Local Campaign Award. These are determined by public voting and Missing People have won the award for our recent Runaway Helpline Admobile campaign
Admedia runs the monthly Local Campaign Award to credit advertisers on exceptional media planning and campaign execution. Five finalist campaigns are chosen each month before votes are cast by the public to establish the winner. All monthly winners are then in the running for Admedia’s Annual Local Campaign Award in December.
Missing People’s key campaign objective was to tactically provide young people thinking about running away, with a call to action for further support services. The award was credited for its strategic use of geo-targeted mobile advertising that specifically captured a youth audience – a demographic that is difficult to reach with traditional advertising formats. The campaign used a different message every day throughout the two weeks to gauge which was better performing allowing Missing People to understand what type of message this audience responds to best and optimise the campaign.
Polly Balsom, Communications Manager at Missing People said: “We were delighted to win the monthly Admedia Local Campaign Award this month in recognition for our Runaway Helpline mobile campaign. Admedia’s Admobile allowed us to promote our free, 24/7 and confidential helpline to young people in an accessible and discreet way and allowed us to focus on geographic target areas. Our learning and insights from the campaign will provide an invaluable insight into future campaigns.”
Chris Templeman, Head of Local Sales, has commented on the win: “As a company, Admedia are fulfilled to be able to assist Missing People in reaching youth who are contemplating running away, while providing a link to further information and support. Maximising on different messages every day to the target audience, meant Missing People were provided with the best data for making upcoming campaigns even more successful.”
