The Missing People Choir came eighth in the Britain's Got Talent final on Saturday night after their remarkable journey to the final which began in April when their audition aired on ITV1.

Their moving performance in the final was an arrangement of "With You" from Ghost the Musical and saw the images of the missing loved ones of the Choir members and other missing people projected behind them.

Saturday's performance followed another emotionally-charged rendition of a well-loved song on Friday night when they progressed through the semi-final with their cover of Birdy's "Wings".

Clare Cook and James Hawkins, co-founders of the Missing People Choir said,

The choir is so grateful to everyone who got behind us and voted us into the final of Britain’s Got Talent 2017. Thanks to you we have had an incredible opportunity to raise awareness both of the charity’s mission and individual missing people through the power of music.

"We have also had sightings of some of the missing people featured behind the choir as they sang, as well as almost £7,000 worth of donations. Thanks so much to you all and to the producers for giving us this huge platform to raise awareness.”

The Choir launched a fundraising campaign to raise money for the charity's work supporting other families with missing loved ones after being so overwhelmed by donations following their Britain's Got Talent audition that the Missing People website crashed.

Their fundraising page has now smashed its target and raised over £6,700 and remains open for donations.
