Accessibility

This page identifies sources of information that are aimed at helping those who prefer not to use a mouse and those with some sight loss.  It also identifies some common keyboard shortcuts.

Keyboard access information

Note that some keyboard shortcuts differ from browser to browser while some are common.  The help that can be found on the internet concerning each browser is likely to be more authoritative than this page.
The proprietors’ keyboard shortcuts can be found in the following locations:
Windows:  Edge:   Chrome:  Firefox:
Mac:  Safari:

Tab key

You can also use the Tab key on your keyboard to move between links on a page. A single press of a Tab highlights the next link, Shift+Tab highlights the previous link.

Increasing text size

Some users might find screen text easier to read by increasing the size at which text is displayed. For Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Firefox and Safari this is achieved by pressing Ctrl + (Ctrl and a plus sign) to increase the size and Ctrl – (Ctrl and a minus sign) to reduce the size.

Changing colours

Modern browsers allow you to change the colours of the background and more.  For further help and information on this refer to your browser’s help or options sections.
If you are colour blind Google Chrome provides an Add-in called Colour Enhancer.
