What you’d be doing
As a 121 chat volunteer, you would be providing support via instant messaging to vulnerable people who are affected by missing. They may have left home, be thinking of leaving home, or have a loved one who is missing.
Qualities/Experience/Skills needed
No prior support experience needed
Good communication, empathetic and non-judgemental
Passionate about supporting vulnerable people
Comfortable with computers

Location and availability
Central office in south west London – SW14 7JE
Training for this role comprises of seven classroom sessions, seven online e-learning modules and four practical shifts. Therefore, you’ll need to commit to roughly one month of training prior to starting the role
One four hour shift a week which can either be on weekday evenings between 6pm – 9:30pm or weekends between 2pm – 6pm or 6pm – 9:30pm
We need volunteers to commit to this role for 12 months
