90K Challenge FAQs

Find out everything you need to know about our new virtual challenge

  • What does virtual mean?

This means you can do the event anywhere, at any time, so it can be done on your own terms. Please read further details on targets and deadlines to make sure you can complete everything within the deadlines.

  • How do I sign-up?

    Follow the five simple steps

  • How many km do I have to do?

We are encouraging everyone to complete 90 km in March as this will really help raise awareness for this campaign.

  • Is there a deadline?

Yes – we would like everyone to sign up by the end of March.

  • Is there a registration fee?

No, there is no cost to get involved in this event, it’s completely FREE.

  • Is there a fundraising target?

We are encouraging every person that signs-up to achieve a minimum fundraising target of £90.

This amount will allow us to launch a publicity campaign for a missing person, sharing it across our print and online channels.

  • How do I get started?

Create your fundraising page as soon as you sign-up to ensure your commitment, and share your challenge with your network to get them involved and encourage donations.

Why not challenge a friend to do the same? Or could you get your work employer or colleagues involved?

  • Is there a minimum age to take part?

There is no minimum age for this. This virtual event is open to people of all ages. This means both your children and grandparents have the opportunity to make a difference – you could even join up your efforts as a family.

  • Do I have to be fit to take part?

No, not at all. This is as much about raising awareness for the charity and supporting those affected by missing, as it is motivating you to set up that goal and challenge yourself. However, often when people set themselves difficult challenges it inspires them more to complete it, and in turn people are more encouraged to support your efforts with donations.

  • What will I receive if I complete the challenge?

We’ll provide you with our fundraising pack, lots of fundraising support as well as your FREE 909090 medal and certificate on completion of your challenge. You will also get a fantastic sense of accomplishment, whilst improving your fitness and wellbeing.

  • Share your stories.

Remember to promote your story and your reasons for supporting Missing People. This will help to raise awareness for the cause and encourage people to get involved with your challenge.

  • Share your achievements.

Remember to share videos and pictures of your runs, walks, rides or climbs across social media and with local press. This will help your efforts to get supporters and make it easier to reach any fundraising targets you have set.

  • Be part of our 2022 fundraising video.

Would you like to be included in our end of year fundraising video? We have already started collecting participants’ videos and pictures, and we’d love to see lots more of these.
