We can tailor-make a publicity appeal for a missing person which is appropriate for that person based on their circumstances, risk and how long they have been missing for.
As soon as someone is reported missing, we can send a TextSafe®, which is a text message sent to their mobile phone explaining how they can get in touch with us for free and in confidence.
48 hours after a disappearance, we can circulate covert briefings to our Safeguarding Briefing Network partners local to where the person went missing.
To ensure that we are keeping the safety of the missing person in mind, we only release public appeals seven days after a disappearance. At this point, we can launch wide-scale publicity to reach two key audiences; the public, who may know something about the missing person or their whereabouts; and the missing person, who may see it and get in touch with someone as a result.
We have thousands of poster partners across the UK, appeal slots in weekly and monthly publications, including the Daily Mirror and the Big Issue. Our partnership with Digital Out Of Home owners allows us to publish appeals on digital billboards in targeted geographical regions. We can also put appeals on our website, Facebook and Twitter.
