Supporting Care Experienced Children and Young People on Their Return from Being Missing

Missing People is proud to launch our new online training ‘Supporting Care Experienced Children and Young People on Their Return from Being Missing.’ This training will help care providers deliver high-quality, consistent support for missing children and young people, ensuring they are Ofsted-ready.

One in every ten looked-after children will go missing compared to an estimated one in every two hundred children generally. A combination of increased risk and different policies for reporting care experienced children missing has left the response to children missing from care placements inconsistent.

Thursday 24th October from 13:00 – 16:30. Ticket cost is £83.00 per person

Who is it for?

Staff who work with children who are care experienced including:

  • Supported accommodation providers
  • Foster Carers
  • Registered Managers of children’s care homes or supported/semi-independent accommodation (private, local authority or third sector)
  • Senior leaders overseeing a group of children’s care homes or semi-independent accommodation
  • Senior leaders overseeing a group of children’s care homes or supported/semi-independent accommodation
