We’re delighted to announce our continued partnership with Steyning Town Football Club! The South East club, located near Brighton, has provided amazing support during their 2021/22 season.
Steyning Town Football Club provides fantastic awareness for Missing People. In particular, by highlighting missing persons appeals which helps to give hope to families affected by missing, living in limbo. The club takes a unique approach by helping to promote selected appeals of females who have gone missing in the areas of their away fixtures. Part of this campaign has included open invitations to the games for family members related to the missing person.
This is a really kind gesture to help bring the community together.
The club has really got behind Missing People and our cause. They even included our branding on some of their club outfits as shown above! Furthermore, the team has also brilliantly gotten involved in some of our fundraising opportunities.
For example, one of the players from the ladies’ team, Claire Joyce, took on the inspiring challenge of the London Marathon in 2021. Claire went on to raise an incredible £3,195! This amount will help us to support 3 separate families for a whole year. You can see Claire’s efforts here.
The club have helped to promote appeals to their audience. So far they have gathered over 250,000 interactions across their 3 main social media channels!
“Missing People are an incredible charity that provide vital life lines to those affected. As a club we wanted to provide support in as many ways possible and felt that by focusing on instances of missing Women and Girls it formed a strong personal bond with the work being done my Missing People. As a community club, raising awareness and support at a local level is just as important as increasing awareness through wider reaching campaigns. We continue to look for new ways to be involved with Missing People and look forward to a continued long term partnership.” – Geoff, football coach volunteer at Steyning Town Community FC
“Steyning Town have provided us with fantastic support over the past few months. We are looking forward to continue this partnership during 2022. They have helped the charity build awareness at a real community level and more important helped us to promote our appeals and reach audiences which we previously might not have been able to. This gives the charity and the families continued hope that we can find people and reconnect loved ones.” – David, Individual Giving Coordinator, at Missing People
