We know that increased police contact can lead to the criminalisation of young people (such as assaults against officers or care home staff when a missing child is found but does not want to return home).
Care-experienced young people shared their views on how we as professionals can better reduce criminalisation. The following video is made up of their own words on reducing unnecessary missing reports which can over-expose children in care to the police.
