Andrew and Kevin’s Story

Andrew, then aged 14, went missing 17 years ago. His dad, Kevin told us about the almost constant pain over the years since Andrew’s disappearance. He misses his son intensely every single day. When Andrew was 10 or 11, he read if you planted an acorn, roots would form and eventually it would grow into an oak tree. At the time, Kevin planted half a dozen acorns in a tub. And over the years, as they’ve grown, those oak trees are now an important reminder to him of Andrew. While Andrew is still missing, thanks to the incredible generosity of people like you, our Support Workers have been there for Kevin throughout the years. Providing support when he has needed it most. With your donation, we can be there for Kevin, for Andrew, and anyone else who needs us. “Almost every day since he disappeared, I have struggled with anxiety and depression, to the extent that it is barely possible to function. What would we have done without Missing People? Having had support for 17 years, I can literally tell you it’s a lifesaver and you just can’t put a value on it.” Kevin Gosden, father of Andew Gosden who went missing in 2007
