Publicity Volunteer

What you’d be doing

You’d be supporting our passionate Comms Team with admin tasks around sharing appeals and publicity for missing people. Your tasks would include:

  • Researching which appeals are appropriate for sharing widely by reading case notes from our services team
  • Approaching family members of missing people and/or police to share our publicity offers, and to gain permission for our publicity partners to share appeals E.g The Big Issue Magazine, JCDecaux billboards
  • Creating occasional social media appeals to help mark a missing person’s birthday and/or missing anniversary
  • Recruiting and updating poster partners for our Safeguarding Briefing Network, to enable us to share appeals with key service providers

‘I am pleased to say that *Ben has been found safe and well in Brighton. This was a result of a member of the public seeing one of your posters and informing us. As always thank you so much for your help.’

– Police Officer

‘I would be very glad of this publicity. I so appreciate all you are doing – it gives me a bit of fresh hope.’

– Family member
