Volunteer Admin & Comms Assistant

What you’ll be doing

Every year, 170,000 children and adults go missing in the UK, impacting over a million people.

At Missing People, we see the enormous potential that volunteers bring to our mission. We want to do more for missing people and their loved ones, and we believe that volunteers are a crucial part of our change making team.

Support our Volunteer Manager with essential admin and communications tasks, including:

  • Posting volunteer adverts for new roles on various recruitment platforms
  • Compiling and writing a monthly newsletter to update volunteers on charity news
  • Sorting and maintaining our volunteer management database
  • Assisting with other administrative tasks

Qualities and skills needed

  • Ideal for someone who is a good communicator, detail-orientated, and proactive.
  • Passion for Missing People’s work.
  • Good written communication skills
  • Confidence using email, websites and databases (or willingness to learn)
  • Attention to detail, handling data sensitively and securely
  • Basic criminal record check required

Location and availability

This role will be worked from home – access to a laptop or computer, and Wi-Fi required.

If you’re based in or near London, you would also be welcome to work from our office in Mortlake, South West London.

Commitment: 0.5 days a week, on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, 9 – 5pm, for a period of 6+ months.
