LexisNexis Risk Solutions – celebrating our partnership

Last month our long-standing partners, LexisNexis Risk Solutions, went above and beyond by taking part in our 8-Hour Cycle Challenge in aid of Missing People.

24 riders from the company took on the 8-hour relay challenge at Brands Hatch. The course tested their strength and endurance to the limit. Not only did our teams conquer the cycle challenge, but they also raised over £10,300 for the charity.

“What made the event great was the mix of people, old and young, some with zero cycling experience through to those who would have been more at home entering the Tour De France. With the same shared purpose of generating as much cash for Missing People as possible, we topped out at over £10,000 on the day and all had the most incredible time.  An amazing team event and made all the more enjoyable by the fantastic support and organisation skills of the Missing People team.”

Our Lost Contact Tracing Service

We are so proud of our long-term partnership which continues to grow year on year. On top of employee fundraising, Lexis Nexis Risk Solutions donate pro bono software to fund our vital Lost Contact Service.

Our Lost Contact service provides a way to find and reconnect people who have lost contact with a loved one.

There are lots of reasons why someone might no longer be in contact. From family issues, an argument, estrangement, or someone simply moving away with no forwarding address.

The Lost Contact Service is the only free tracing service in the UK. The service is powered by LexisNexis Risk Solutions’s TraceIQ. This software enables us to find missing adults and sensitively make contact and let them know someone misses them.

In the first year after re-starting the partnership, we received almost 350 applications. Of those that we traced, well over 50% were located.

During the global pandemic, we saw an astonishing 50% increase in people applying to use the service.

Thanks to their support, we could bring Charlie* back to his dad after 19 years, reunite Julie* with her dad after a decade, and help Susan* finally see her son after almost 20 years.
