(1) If the person has been reported missing we will straight away be able to raise private (non-public facing) publicity typically comprising a TextSafe® message and briefings to partners
(2) If the person has been missing for 3 days or more we will raise public facing publicity if appropriate. This typically comprises our website, social media and posters sent to partners.
(3) If certain criteria are met we will raise all publicity types, private and public facing (if appropriate), as soon as we can. This is called a Urgent Missing Alert.
All information provided to us is reviewed and we will contact you if necessary. We may also contact you when we move between the above packages as time passes, e.g. to confirm the person is still missing.
To offer family support we need to know that you have permission to pass family contact information to us. See the question above. Thank you.

Police Contact Details
To communicate with you Missing People will use a police group email, if any, that handles missing person cases, e.g. a Missing Persons Unit. We will also use your personal police contact details.
We will use the most recent email address and phone number we have for the group you select below.
We need your personal police email address to identify you on our database.
To Missing People users: If the person does not have an email address, please enter a random address, e.g. sadvtrgvpl@asvmjh.com. Do NOT enter any missingpeople.org.uk address. These addresses are used by the system and should not be allocated to anyone else.
