CIL and Missing People’s 30 for 30 for 30 Recap

On Saturday 16th September, staff from both Missing People and our long-term partner CIL walked 30km to celebrate our 30th Anniversary and to raise £30k in aid of the charity.

The Walk

The 30km walk began at the London offices of CIL. The walkers enjoyed a brisk walk to the pub for a hearty lunch and a cool beverage before making their way to the Missing People head office in Richmond. They were offered more refreshment and a chance to rest their legs before walking to Battersea Brewery Public house for a celebratory drink. The walkers were met at the Missing People office by Evidence Joel, mother of Richard Okorogheye, who went missing in 2021 and was sadly later found deceased.

Thank you

A huge thank you to everyone who walked, everyone who donated and anyone who helped to raise money for this walk by sharing the fundraiser. So far we have raised over £15,000- a massive achievement!

Here, Evidence explains what the support from Missing People means to her and sends thanks and support to all those walking in aid of the charity.

Donate

There is still time to donate to the fundraiser and help us to reach our goal of £30,000, which could help pay for a support worker for a whole year, who could help more families in the future.
