An Introduction to SafeCall for Professionals

Missing People has been contracted by the Home Office to provide the SafeCall service to young people, parents, carers, family members and professionals. SafeCall is a national helpline and support service for individuals who have been affected by the issues of County Lines, Child Criminal Exploitation and Missing.

SafeCall have created a series of webinars aimed at sharing knowledge with and providing advice to professionals about these issues, their impact, and introducing the SafeCall service and how we can help professionals, young people and families in your area.

Agenda

This 1 hour session is designed to inform professionals through the following agenda:

  • Introducing the SafeCall service, who the service is for and the different types of support offered
  • Definitions, signs, indicators and impacts of County Lines / Child Criminal Exploitation on young people and families
  • Discussion around themes, trends, and the regional picture of county lines
  • Discussion around how SafeCall can support you as a professional and the young people and families in your area, this will involve the use of case studies and feedback from those who have accessed the service
  • Our messaging – How to signpost or make a referral into the service for a young person or family who you are working with
  • How to request direct support from the SafeCall team as a professional or for your team
  • Missing People’s services – overview of support services, training and events offered by Missing People Charity

Who should attend?

This virtual session has been designed for professionals working with anyone who has experienced/been affected by the issues of Missing, Child Criminal Exploitation or County Lines.
