A BIG SHOUTOUT goes to our amazing fundraiser of the month – Jim Graham!
On 2nd April, Jim will be participating in London Landmarks Half Marathon. This is something that he never thought would be possible.
Jim has a muscular dystrophy condition, which he eventually passed on to his daughter Alex. However, Alex participated in last year’s London Landmarks Half Marathon so now Jim has been inspired to take it on this year as he has no excuses now!
We are delighted that Jim has decided to challenge himself and fundraise for Missing People along the way. He will be running through the City of Westminster and London whilst passing some of the capital’s most iconic attractions. Although the challenge isn’t for a few more weeks, Jim has already smashed his fundraising target! Hear what he had to say below:
“Missing People provide such important support to the 170,000 people who go missing each year and to their families and loved ones and yet do so without the big budgets that other national charities enjoy. I always said that I would never ever sign up to do anything like this, so I am doubly delighted that the very generous support that my half-marathon sponsors have given will help Missing People continue with their excellent work” – Jim Graham, London Landmarks Half Marathon 2023 runner.
Overall, Jim has raised an incredible £2,150 so far! This amount will make a significant difference to people affected by a disappearance.
Thank you so much to Jim for raising an incredible amount of money for us – we are so grateful for your support!
