Nikki is a Senior Business Development Manager at Missing People. She joined Missing People in 2017 as a Return Home Interview Worker after teaching and completing her PhD in public policy at The University of Queensland. Nikki has a passion for working with young people, completing a Post-Graduate Diploma in Child, Adolescent & Family Psychotherapy at the Tavistock & Portman, NHS Foundation in 2019. Nikki has previously managed Missing People’s Safe and Well Check service and SafeCall service. She currently manages Missing People’s partnership project with Scottish Government, which ensures the implementation of The Scottish National Missing Persons Framework within local areas across Scotland in partnership with Police Scotland, local authorities, the NHS, and Education. Nikki is also leading on Missing People’s Systems Change work, which seeks to address repeat missing and harm nationally and locally. Nikki frequently delivers consultancy and training for Missing people. Her extensive experience of front-line service delivery with both missing adults and children, and policing experience as a Special Constable, informs her knowledge of exploitation, safeguarding, policy analysis, and good practice.
Emma Wynack
Senior Coordinator, Scotland
Emma is Senior Coordinator for Scotland at Missing People. Emma works within the Missing People’s partnership project with the Scottish Government. She joined Missing People in May 2022 after working for 9 years with a Disabled Persons Organisation supporting the implementation of the Self Directed Support legislation. Emma is a qualified Social Worker and has worked both Social Work and Community Development roles in the areas of homelessness, addictions and mental health, both in Australia and Scotland. Emma has a passion for training and facilitation and supporting people to share their lived experience to inform and improve practice.
Emily Stewart
Scotland Project Coordinator
Emily Joined the Missing People Team in October 2023 as the National Coordinator for Scotland after working for Rape Crisis as a Trainer and Criminal Justice Advocacy Worker. Emily has worked in the third sector supporting vulnerable people in areas of domestic violence, mental health and victims of crime for 10 years in Switzerland and the UK.
Emily has a passion for bringing people together and inspiring them to improve lives and raise awareness of social issues. Emily is a passionate campaigner for women’s rights, and often takes a lead role in planning the 16 Days of Activism events and Reclaim the Night Marches in her local city. She has also lead campaigns for Mental Health Awareness Week in partnership with the Scottish Mental Health Arts and Festival to develop a mass sing event called “Raise Your Voice!”
Emily has developed and delivered Trauma Informed Practice Training for the local authority, NHS and third sector staff as well as delivering multi agency Training on a variety of subjects relating to sexual violence. Emily has a passion for supporting professionals and facilitating learning to improve practice and outcomes for vulnerable people. In her spare time Emily enjoys playing football with her daughter and having cuddles with their cat Moby.
