All-Party Parliamentary Group

For over a decade, Missing People have been running the All-Party Parliamentary Group for missing children and adults with the aim of raising awareness of the issue at a national government level.

Our work

The All-Party Parliamentary Group for Runaway and Missing Children and Adults seeks to raise awareness of the issues faced by children and adults who run away or go missing.

In June 2011 the APPG ran the UK’s first ever inquiry into support for families of missing people.

Ann Coffey MP, during her time as Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for Runaway and Missing Children and Adults led the ‘Inquiry into safeguarding missing adults who have mental health issues’.
