Inspiring SafeCall Impact Breakfast

Last week to the stunning backdrop of the London skyline, we had the privilege of hosting an Impact Breakfast focused on SafeCall, our life-saving new service for under-25s.

SafeCall was launched in collaboration with young people to be a lifeline for them by them. Following The Independent’s 2025 campaign, which raised an incredible ÂŁ165,000 to help bring this vital service to life – ensuring more young people in crisis have somewhere to turn.

The Impact Breakfast was generously supported by our corporate partner, Norton Rose Fulbright at their beautiful London office. We were joined by 22 supporters from 14 companies for a morning of pastries, networking, and impactful work.

Attendees were warmly welcomed by our Interim CEO, Ross Miller, who spoke about the impact of missing and the vital work the charity does to support those affected. Ross then joined an engaging panel discussion alongside two inspiring speakers.

Journalist Sian Elvin, who played a key role in launching SafeCall through The Independent’s campaign, shared insights into the development of the service and the important work it continues to deliver. Charity Champion Jade Laura Knight also spoke powerfully about her personal experience of going missing 50 times, and how support from Missing People has helped her go on to make a meaningful difference through her advocacy.

The session was chaired by our new Head of Philanthropy and Corporate Partnerships, Phil Wormley, who guided a thoughtful and engaging Q&A with the panel.

The morning was not only an opportunity for networking but also helped shine a light on a critical issue: every two and a half minutes, a young person is reported missing. It is thanks to the support of all our incredible partners in attendance that we are able to continue delivering our life-saving work.
