A BIG SHOUTOUT goes to our amazing fundraisers of the month – Alex and Alex!
In January, Alex set out to complete a YouTube challenge to raise money for us. Alex, a paramedic, had heard about us through a family he had worked with. To raise money he decided to hide a “Dummy/Mannequin” in a field somewhere in South England and gave himself an hour to find it – as a paramedic would if they were going out on a call. This involved using special technology.
He approached Alex Landowski from Medical Logistics to sponsor the challenge. If Alex found the Mannequin in 1 hour then he will donate £1,000 to Missing People. The challenge proved to be very difficult and it took Alex an hour and 7 minutes to find the Mannequin. Fortunately, Alex Landowski was very impressed with Alex’s efforts that he still donated £1,000.
We are so grateful to Alex and Alex for fundraising in such a creative way whilst also raising awareness of the charity through Alex’s YouTube channel.
Overall, the pair raised an incredible £1,000 in total! This amount will make a significant difference to people affected by a disappearance.
Thank you so much to Alex and Alex for raising an incredible amount of money for us – we are so grateful for your support!
