July’s Fundraiser of the Month

Our Fundraiser of the Month for July is De Lacy Academy!

A BIG SHOUTOUT goes to our amazing fundraiser of the month – De Lacy Academy!

On 19th July 2022, De Lacy Academy’s drama group performed their play ‘Missing Marcie’ to a paying audience. This play was about a girl going missing and follows the story of her family during this difficult time. Read more about their performance of ‘Missing Marcie’ here.

The group did so much to help raise money for Missing People! Before the audience arrived, each attendee received a leaflet about Missing People and how to donate. Then at the end of the performance, the cast stood by the exit with buckets to collect donations from the audience on their way out. Furthermore, the group hosted a bake sale to raise money for us. They baked dozens of cakes to sell and donated raffle prizes too.

The event and bake sale together managed to raise an incredible £220, which ensures we can continue to provide our vital services to others affected by someone going missing. It also kickstarted important conversations about missing in schools and raise awareness of this issue.

Thank you so much to De Lacy Academy’s drama group for their performance, bake sale and raising an incredible amount for us – we are so grateful for your support!
