Missing People’s Lost Contact Tracing Service was at the centre of The Guardian’s Today in Focus podcast last week to explore people searching for missing people during the pandemic.
The Lost Contact Tracing Service is available to anyone in the UK who has lost touch with a relative and there is not an open police investigation.
The podcast featured Hannah whose brother Paul dropped out of contact almost a decade ago. With the help of Missing People and the amazing Lost Contact team, Hannah was able to find her brother and the podcast illustrates the very real roller coaster of reconnection.
The Lost Contact Supervisor, Kirsty Hillman, was also interviewed and provided more insight into how the service works and how it can be a lifeline to people who have lost touch with their relatives.
We have launched a regular email so that you can be aware of new missing person appeals and share them far and wide! We are also calling on all Heroes to be the eyes and ears for Missing People on the ground. Your sighting of a missing person could make a difference in a crucial time.
