Every year, 170,000 children and adults go missing in the UK, affecting over a million people. Missing People is the only UK charity dedicated to supporting missing individuals and their loved ones.
Formed in 2014, the Missing People Choir brings together those affected by disappearance, using the power of music to foster connection, healing, and hope. In 2017, the Choir reached the finals of Britain’s Got Talent, helping to bring two missing people home through the awareness their performances generated. The Choir meets monthly in central London on Saturday afternoons.
As Choir Assistant, you’ll play a vital part in helping the Choir thrive. Working closely with the Choir Director, you’ll support the smooth running of rehearsals and events, helping to maintain a welcoming, creative, and supportive space for members.
Location: London-based. You’ll need access to a computer or tablet and a reliable internet connection.
Time Commitment: 2–5 hours per month, with flexible working. This includes occasional Saturday afternoon rehearsals in central London and check-in meetings during working hours. Travel expenses are reimbursed.
Duration: Initial 6-month commitment, with the option to continue following a review.
