Night of Light Gala 2025: A Beacon of Hope for Missing People

On Thursday 13th March, we hosted our annual Night of Light Gala, a dazzling evening filled with purpose, generosity and celebration. Hosted at the elegant Royal Lancaster by Dr Ranj Singh, the event brought together 270 of our incredible supporters, including our Patrons Sir Stephen Fry and Sir Trevor McDonald.

Thanks to all those who attended and supported the event, we raised an incredible £349,994.75!

The evening began with a champagne reception and live entertainment, courtesy of our Corporate Supporters c2c Rail, setting the stage for an evening of connection and inspiration.

Jo Youle, CEO of Missing People, opened the event with heartfelt remarks, followed by an address from Justin McLaren, Chair of Trustees. then enjoyed a lively game of Heads & Tails, hosted by Chair of the Fundraising Board Mark Pumfrey, with the winner receiving a luxurious one-night stay at the Royal Lancaster.

A sumptuous three-course dinner was followed by a poignant speech from Sir Stephen Fry, reflecting on the 25th anniversary of his own missing episode. The live auction, led by the brilliant Tom Best, and a new pledge moment, expertly guided by Helplines Manager Martha McBrier, inspired extraordinary generosity. Guests were also treated to a moving rendition of ‘Bring Him Home’ from Missing People Ambassador’s G4.

We were also thrilled to be joined by Ambassador Monica Dolan and past supporters Rory Underwood and Victor Obugo, as well as new celebrity supporters Rakie Ayola, Amelia Bullmore, Thomas Coombes, Kate Ashfield, and Sam Hoare.

Thank you

We extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who made this event possible, from our Corporate Supporters c2c Rail to our talented photographer Danny Loo, videographer Ewan Michael Riley, and live entertainment Soul75.

As we reflect on this unforgettable evening, we look forward to making the Night of Light Gala 2026 even more impactful. Together, we can be there for anyone affected by a disappearance – no matter what.
