Some people have already started and completed their ‘Walk in Hope’ so we wanted to share their stories to inspire you.
From people affected by missing themselves, to Missing People employees and volunteers – we have had a range of people get involved so far and you could join them!
Tina organised a Walk in Hope for her colleagues at Specsavers because she was a volunteer for Missing People and has seen first-hand the great work Missing People have done.
She gathered round 25 people who worked with her at Specsavers to take part, as part of one of their ‘charity days’ – where they can give up some time for a chosen cause. The team walked 10 miles along the Hamble River loop from Bursledon.

Bek took on a ‘Walk in Hope’ to raise awareness of her son Finn who went missing on the 8th September 2017 when he was 17 years old. She also wants to give back to Missing People as we have supported her and her family since Finn’s disappearance. Finn has now been missing for more than 5 and a half years and you can find his missing appeal here.
From 28th April, Bek and her family walked 51 miles of the Coleridge Way in North Devon over 3 days.

Karen wanted to arrange a ‘Walk in Hope’ in memory of her son Matt for us because of the support we gave her when Matt was missing.
They began their walk on 6th May which would have been Matt’s 32nd birthday and walked from Havant to Nore Barn Wood at Emsworth along the shoreline at Langstone, a total of around 5 miles.

Sally organised a ‘Walk in Hope’ in memory of her son Blake for us. Blake was reported missing nearly 19 years ago and his remains were found 2 and a half years later. But she wants to help other families who are still searching for answers.
At the age of 68, Sally is walking the south route of The Shropshire Way which is approximately 125 miles.
