Third Sector Awards – Charity Partnership of the Year

On 20th September, Missing People attended the Third Sector Awards, where we were delighted to win in the Charity Partnership of the Year category for our partnership with Samaritans – ‘Missing & Suicide Risk TextSafe’

A huge thank you to everyone at both Missing People and Samaritans involved in this vital partnership and to Third Sector for recognising the impact of the support we are able to provide to missing adults thought to be at high risk of suicide.

All at Missing People are thrilled to share this accolade with Samaritans for our joint work with vulnerable people who are missing and suicidal. I feel particularly proud, as this was my first project responsibility when I started working with Missing People, over six years ago. I was so inspired meeting passionate Samaritans who were signing up to the project, that I started to train as a Samaritans listening volunteer. It feels so special having this joint involvement, and I think it’s the most important work we can do, trying to prevent suicide. A humungous thank you to all the Samaritans who have made these calls, and this fantastic partnership work.
