This Christmas, The Independent and Missing People are joining forces to launch SafeCall, a vital new lifeline for the 70,000 children who go missing in the UK every year.

Together, we aim to raise £165,000 to fund this life-changing service, offering a helpline, live chat, and online support designed with and for young people.

SafeCall will provide a trusted adult to talk to, guidance at any hour, and proactive support when children are most at risk. Developed alongside young people with lived experience, it will help those in crisis reach safety, rebuild their lives, and find hope for a brighter future.

Your donation today can help launch SafeCall and keep it open for every child who needs it.

SafeCall is a response to these shocking facts:

6 in 10 of all missing person reports are for young people in the 12-17 year old age group

1 in 10 children in care will go missing

Young people reported missing are at high risk of exploitation and homelessness
