Walk in Solidarity

Over the course of this year families, colleagues, corporate partners, and the general public having been arranging their own walks to help Missing People mark our 30th Anniversary. We have been sharing these stories to build awareness for our cause and importantly to show the devastating impact missing can have on families.

We are now inviting everyone to come together to ‘Walk in Solidarity’ on the same day, as we hold our Together to Remember event, on Sunday 15th September, where we plan to combine both events.

We are aiming to bring everyone together regardless of circumstances, to join our in-person* walk around Richmond Park, and we would love for you to join us.

*If you are unable to make the in-person walk, you can still be involved by taking on your own walk and sharing your stories with us over email and social. You can then still join up with our Together to Remember event, which will be live streamed on Facebook. More information here.

What is Walk in Solidarity?

Most of the walk will take place around Richmond Park, covering the distance of 10km. For those not able to make the in-person walk, we encourage you to take on a similar distance local to your home, possibly with family and friends.

The day will also incorporate our Together to Remember event at the end of the walk, which will be live streamed on Facebook.

Where and when will it all take place?

Sunday 15th September 2024.

Starting at the Missing People office in East Sheen (SW14 7JE) at 11.00am, the walk will head out in the direction of Richmond Park, aiming to cover a loop distance of 10km, ending at Palewell Common.

This is where the Together to Remember event is scheduled to be live streamed at 14.00pm.

Why should I get involved?

  • Come together and make a positive change for families facing the trauma of a missing loved one
  • Create awareness for our cause and help people better understand how missing affects families
  • Raise funds for our Services Team, to ensure we can continue to support more families affected by missing
  • Create your JustGiving fundraising page here.
