Publicity

Our media partners have been helping us spread awareness of our work

Where we've been spreading the word:

Metro Lifeline

We were thrilled to be asked to be Metro Newspaper’s Lifeline Campaign partner this year. This campaign sees Missing People and Metro join forces to ask people to take part in the Ultra Challenge on the Isle of Wight in May and raise vital funds for Missing People.

As part of this partnership, Metro will feature stories highlighting the support services that Missing People offer, the issues that can contribute to someone being missing and the stories of several families with a missing loved one.

They have also been sharing the appeal of a different missing person every week. Publicity like this can be lifesaving and help bring people to safety.

The Mirror

We are delighted to share that our partnership with The Mirror and their support over Christmas raised over £14,000 as well as increasing vital awareness of the issue and the need to support people affected by missing.

Through this campaign, families of missing loved ones bravely shared their stories, touching the hearts of readers and highlight the urgent need for support.

Their powerful appeals not only led to a surge in donations, but we also welcomed many new supporters wanting to hear more about how our work and services help the thousands of people affected by missing each year.

Mother's Day Campaign

We are thrilled to share that The Mirror—a long-standing supporter of Missing People—is once again partnering with us on a powerful initiative. This Mother’s Day, The Mirror will shine a light on the heart-breaking reality faced by mothers with a missing child. In an incredibly moving feature, a group of these brave women will come together in the studio to share their experiences, support one another, and ensure that no mother in this situation feels alone.

Beyond raising awareness, we are also working closely with The Mirror to drive real change. Together, we are developing a campaign for action, including a petition aimed at influencing government policy to better protect and support missing people and their families.

Stay tuned—more details will be coming soon! But for now, please keep an eye out for this special feature in The Mirror this Mother’s Day, and join us in amplifying the voices of those who need to be heard.
