Why we need your support

Thank you to our generous supporters, their donations enable us to provide vital emotional and practical support to people affected by a disappearance, every day of the year. From our Helpline, counselling, online guidance, to campaigning for change for people affected by missing.

Missing People is a small national charity, and our largest cost is providing expert trained staff to support people in crisis, 7 days a week. We rely on voluntary donations to keep our services running, our supporters are at the heart of what we do, and it’s important for us to show them the same care and respect. Where your money goes

Based on our 2019/20 financial accounts:

  • For every £1 raised, we spend 85p on charitable activities
  • For every £1 raised, 15p is invested into raising money
  • On average, we generate £6 for every £1 invested into fundraising. By spending money on our fundraising activity, we will generate even more money to support people affected by missing.
